Family Days

These all day events are an amazing opportunity to meet other Catholic families and build friendship in a relaxed environment. They happen three to four times a year over the summer months, with the first one of the year always falling on Holy Saturday. These are days outdoors with refreshments, lots of space for fun and games, opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and plenty of time for everyone to get to know each other, so pull up a camping chair and get involved!
Monthly Men’s Group
WHERE: Worth Abbey, West Sussex
WHEN: Last Thursday of the month. Evening
WHO: Men, married or single
This monthly group is a valuable moment for men to connect with each other, share and discuss their faith. Some months there are games, others input and discussion, or an extended time of prayer together. Bring a friend and come and join in.
Friday Family Group
WHERE: Worth Abbey, West Sussex
WHEN: First Friday of the month. Morning
WHO: Parents with babies and toddlers
Share a cup of tea or coffee with other parents in the trenches! An informal time of fellowship while children play, often with the opportunity for Reconciliation or a short time of prayer.

Catechesis of the
Good Shepherd
WHERE: New location TBC
WHEN: Weekly
WHO: Children aged 4-6
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is faith formation for children using a Montessori approach. We currently offer this formation to children aged 4-6, but hope to expand in the future. Children use hands on materials to explore and pray with stories from scripture and events in the liturgy. Pope St John Paul II famously described it as “the most beautiful homily I ever witnessed…proof that really the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to children.”
Family Formation

Mornings for busy parents to take time out and refocus on their relationship with God. Formation and teaching on prayer, scripture, and the spiritual life in person at Worth Abbey.
The Catholic Family Conversation
WHERE: Online
WHEN: Sunday Evening. 6-8 times a year
WHO: Parents
An opportunity to explore how to build thriving Catholic families in the modern world. These sessions will take place online on a Sunday evening, with a short input on a particular theme and then the opportunity to discuss and share with other Catholic couples before finishing with prayer.
